How I Work
A few things worth knowing before we work together.
I optimize. My instinct is to find the pattern nobody else has spotted and make the invisible visible: friction, inefficiency, gaps in a system. I’d rather build the framework others build on than manage the people using it. Building the framework isn’t the point, though. People actually using it is.
I chase optimization puzzles: how do you make something meaningfully better, not marginally better?
Autonomy and fast feedback get the best out of me.
I’m direct. I raise the hard question early instead of managing around it. Getting to the right answer matters more to me than being liked for saying it. I want work judged on its merits, not on relationships or who’s easiest to agree with.
I show up in public - writing and sharing what I find. Writing especially, it’s how I clarify my own thinking.
Small, low-friction teams get the best of me too: I finish what I start when decisions move in weeks, not months.
I want to be learning constantly. Work that stops teaching me stops being worth doing.
Fast decision cycles. Room to focus on outcomes over process. That’s the environment I want.
If this sounds like a fit, let’s talk.
